The Coxswain Helmet manufactured by Gentex is especially for military personnel aboard small interception watercraft operating in high sea states. The helmet is lightweight, yet affords maximum protection. The ruggedized maritime design also offers unobstructed peripheral vision, as well as ease of use with eye-protective googles, such as Ballistic Optical Armor (BOA®) or EPS-21 goggles.

The Coxswain Helmet includes Gentex's X Liner™ helmet comfort liner, a retention strap, earcups and 100-ohm earphones, a Night Vision Goggle (NVG) Quick Disconnect, a M-138/G flex boom microphone with windscreen and a single, down lead communications cord, which is compatible with the PRC-148 maritime man-worn radio.

In addition, the helmet shell is smooth and free of obstructions to prevent snagging of parachute lines. Pile fasteners on the back of the helmet allow attachment of an NVG battery pack or counterweight.

Available in four sizes, and standard color is black.
